Arrive at Jaipur. Check- in at Jai Mahal Palace or Rambagh palace and experience Rajput hospitality at its best. Afternoon tour of historic, old walled city of Jaipur. Visit the unique Jantar Mantar observatory. Built in 1700's it looks futuristic and almost surrealistic even today. Day 2
After break fast depart on a half-day city sightseeing tour of Jaipur founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II. This ‘pink city' is meticulously constructed on the lines of the shilpa-shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Ascend to the hilltop fortress at Amber on a gaily-caparisoned elephant. Alternatively visit Nahargarh / Jaigarhfort. Lunch at the quaint and romantic Ramgarh lodge, Jaipur the former hunting ground of the royal family. In the evening, a champagne tour of Rambagh palace, Jaipur followed by dinner. Unwind at “Steam” the Pub on wheels at Rambagh palace, Jaipur.
Day 3
Break fast at the hotel. Day free for leisure. Enjoy recreational facilities at the hotel. You could also visit the Jaipur city center (car can be provided at an additional cost) and stroll around the bustling bazaars for indigenous handicrafts, Jaipur quilts and jewellery. Drive to the ‘sun city' of Jodhpur. Enroute visit the famous temples of Pushkar and the holy dargah, Ajmer Sharief. Arrive in Jodhpur and check –in at Taj Hari Mahal, Jodhpur.
Day 4
Break fast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of the erstwhile Marwar capital. From the imposing Meherangarh fort to the delicately wrought Jharokhas of the havelis, the citadel has some of the finest examples of Rajput masonry. At the foot of the fort lies the Jaswant Thada, a richly- carved white marble cenotaph. Take an afternoon tour of the countryside which abounds with black bucks and chinkaras grazing serenely, and migratory birds dot the skies. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5
After break fast leave for Udaipur. Enroute visit the Jain temples of Ranakpur, famous for their intricate friezes and sculptures. Dating back to the 15th century, the temple's 29 halls are supported by 1444 pillars, none of which are similar. Arrive at the enchanting, medieval city of Udaipur and check in at the Taj Lake palace. Built over two-and-half centuries ago by Maharana Jagat SinghII, this fairy-tale palace is probable one of the most romantic hotels in the world. Enjoy a leisurely late afternoon cruise on the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola. Walk around the fountain pavilions and cobbled gardens of the famous Jag Mandir Island palace. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6
Let the glorious sunrise dazzle you at break fast. Morning excursion to the famous temple complex of Eklingji & Nagda, which enshrines the deity of the Maharanas of Mewar. Spend the rest of the day exploring this charming lake city by car. Wander through the opulent city palace grounds and the musuem, which are a testament to the valour and chivalry of the Mewar rulers. Visit the Jagdish temple on the shores of lake pichola, the bharatiya Lok kala Mandir, a treasure house of Rajasthani folk culture, and “Saheliyon Ki Bari”. The breathtaking beauty of the lakes pichola and Fateh sagar truly makes Udaipur an oasis in the desert. Return to hotel after city drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
